My students are motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic to make their freshman year of high school the best year of school they have ever had! They are humorous and love to have fun, while serving our school through Student Council sponsored activities that encourage school pride and service to our school/community. My students' school provides the best learning environment possible during tough budget times. Roughly forty-one percent of the students in my school are at or below the poverty level, and receive free or reduced lunch each day. For many of our students, their school is a place of comfort for them and through the Student Council activities these students are encouraged to have pride and ownership over the place that provides them support as they start out the most pivotal year of their high school career.
