My students tend to be enthusiastic writers and, for most of them, Writer's Workshop is a favorite time of the school day. Although they love to see their writing piece in its final stage, the "published" stage, I would like for them to feel like real authors. By that I mean for them to be able to type their words and use a drawing program to create their pictures in full color. I'm looking forward to having friends and family over for "Meet the Author" and "Book Signings" as my students proudly display their written work and flourish as writers. I know having a good printer with plenty of ink would allow me to have them work on many writing projects throughout the school year.
