I teach in a dual language kindergarten classroom. About 70%of my students are English Language Learners. It is my belief that in kindergarten oral language development is an essential part of literacy instruction. Young children love read aloud, story time and songs. In my classroom I try to provide my students with ample opportunities to develop language through books, songs, poems and chants. Therefore a CD player and a listening center will greatly enhance my curriculum.
