Our Project School is a state charter school with the following vision: "to eliminate the predictive value of race, class, gender and special capacities on student success in our school and in our communities by working together with families and community to ensure each child's success." To do this we implement a P3 (Project based) curriculum inspired and driven by student interests. Our teachers work hard to create learning opportunities that touch children's hearts, mind, and voice. An example of the kind of work our teacher's do is exemplified through a recent Performing Arts production of Shel Silverstein's, Where the Sidewalk Ends with the K/1 class. In the 2/3 class, teacher's recently engaged student's in "pumpkin seed math." Our 6/7/8 classes recently completed a Humanities unit covering the continent of Africa and began a letter exchange program with like-aged students in the Democratic Republic of Congo!
