Learning new concepts can be challenging. While talking through a skill or math problem is one way to do it, it's certainly more effective when it can be modeled for the class using visual aids. I believe that modeling and showing students the work we are working on together using an overhead projector, like the one I am requesting, will help them better understand how to do it independently. Providing visual instruction and guidance is a tremendous asset when learning new concepts especially with children whose first language is not English. Additionally, this projector will also allow the ​student to show their work to the class in an easy way. Students can use the projector to project their work so that the whole class can see it clearly. It will allow me to feature great work and more importantly, to show work that may need editing. In this case, my class can actively participate in editing students' work while learning from the editing process.
