My students are from a remote rural area in the beautiful state of Arkansas . Most are Impoverished and unfamiliar with the asthetics of the fine art world. A lot of families are struggling with finding jobs. The only exposure to fine arts is in the public school. We give the students the opportunity to experience music, art, painting, drawing, art history and critical thinking skills. We also encourage them to think outside the box in order to create different ways to find solutions. I want to expose my High school students to career venues in the art world . I believe this knowledge will give them another job opportunity to consider for their future. I encourage my students through self expressions by creating and enjoying the process if making art . I hope through their art they can find contentment by their success in the art creation .
