As a teacher, I am searching for reading materials that students will be interested in. Students love stories that they can engage with and I find that while they read, they will benefit by learning new vocabulary, they learn to ask never stop asking questions and they engage in conversation with each other. In addition, students will be able to make connection with their funds of knowledge. With Scholastic Storyworks magazine, my students will have access to reading materials from their very own home that are of interest to them all while following the California Common Core State standard.

About my class
