My fabulous first graders are excited to learn from home. Because of this pandemic teachers around the world are searching for ways to connect with their students. My first graders are using a combination of paper and virtual resources. These items will help me continue to create videos and and model lessons in front of my students again. The document camera will allow students to see what I am doing during our virtual meetings. My students have lost a lot during this time and I refuse to let them lose me. Because of limited resources I have been connecting with my students in various ways. One thing I would like to continue doing is sending my students "happy mail." The envelopes will help me send personalized letters to my students. This "happy mail" is another way I want to let my students know I care and miss them tremendously. I want to continue engaging with my first graders, and providing them with the education they deserve.
