I have been teaching for many years. Over time, books suffer wear and tear and become less popular. New and amazing books pop up everyday! I would like to overhaul our classroom library with more diverse books that appeal to all students in my classroom. Kids want to see THEMSELVES in the stories they read. I also want to provide them with a multitude of easy chapter books. It's fun to pick up a picture book and look at it, but kindergartners can't always read the words. Having books they can read will boost their confidence and motivate them to become better readers!
