The use of manipulatives is an important activity for early elementary students. It gives them the opportunity to utilize physical and cognitive abilities. It also gives them a break from the rigors of written work. Our students are very energetic. Also, it will improve their social and emotional well-being. Second graders are happy to build things with Lego blocks for both their creativity and calming effects. These specific Lego kits are designed with social and emotional learning in mind. Any support would greatly improve the emotional well-being of my students.
