My students are highly motivated, inquisitive, and hard working sixth grade scientists who excel when provided hands on activities to coincide with their lessons. We live in a rapidly growing community, but our budget from the state continues to take deep cuts. Unfortunately we do feel the cuts in the classroom and most often when trying to provide materials for hands on activities. These materials are necessary for my students to investigate, gain a deeper understanding, and development science skills to become successful sixth grade scientists.
