My KindergARTeners are 4 and 5 year old students with an insatiable hunger to learn. Their imagination and creativity is endless. My students attend a low income school in Southern California. The majority are Title 1 students who qualify for the free meal program. Most of my students are second language learners who need a lot of hands on materials to fully comprehend academic content. Our school lacks resources for the ARTS. As an educator my job is to provide them with a well rounded education. Integrating the ARTS across the curriculum helps make their learning more comprehensible. Furthermore, integrating the ARTS will assist in making their first year in shool fun and memorable.
