Hello! Thanks for supporting Leadership High School. We are building 16 classroom libraries as well as a main, school library, and we need lots and lots of good books! We stand by the data that says kids who read for pleasure attain higher levels of success. Those same kids go on to do better in college and in the workplace. Our kids need to know the joys and benefits of reading for pleasure! We believe: - our classroom libraries need to be diverse and reflective of our kids' experiences; - our school library needs to be a warm, welcoming place for students who want more of a selection than the classroom library has to offer; - our students are entitled to excellent books! Leadership High School is committed to social justice and closing the achievement gap. If you want to invest in the lives of our inner-city youth, please consider donating to our cause. Thanks!
