I am the teacher of a mild-moderate special needs classroom for grades kindergarten through third. With the help of my instructional assistants, I administer appropriate curriculum and activities at the students' various ability levels. I work every day to alleviate the struggles that accompany schoolwork for students with disabilities by teaching them that their individual capabilities are important and will lead to the development to new and greater abilities. On the road to educational success, an ever-present goal of mine is to teach my students that the classroom is an enjoyable place where they can feel smart, motivated and connected to their peers and teachers. The more materials with which to do that, the better!

About my class
