My students study the body and its organs and cells. They currently have very old, low power microscopes to look at microscopic cell specimens. These provide a glimpse of what a microscope is able to do, but they are not much better than strong magnifying glasses. This microscope that we are asking for is not only stronger, it connects to a laptop so that a group of kids can collaborate, view, and study cells together at same time. Instead of seeing a slight magnification, they will be able to use the new microscope for a much closer view, and they can project and share the images with a small group of partners.
