My students are all English language learners with no or limited academic home support. Their reading level ranges from far below basic to proficient level. Some are attending our school's intervention program to help them improve with their phonemic awareness, phonic skills, and fluency levels. They face many academic challenges and have limited resources at home. Most depend on school support, resources, and material to practice at home. Yet they all are eager to learn and posses a great desire to be fluent readers.
