Our Brain Booster Book Club thrives off of adventure, action, mystery, magic, and more. We need YOU! to provide the juice necessary for us to encounter other people and other worlds through the art of reading. I am a Visual Arts Educator at New Heights Academy Charter School in Upper Manhattan. This is our second year serving middle school and high school students in the Washington Heights/Inwood neighborhoods which are both high-need, culturally diverse communities. In addition to teaching Visual Arts to both middle school and high school students (grades 5, 6, 9, & 10), I am also responsible for teaching a Study Skills class daily which consists of students with a love of reading and writing. My Study Skills class focuses on Advanced English-- challenging ourselves through reading literature, writing, and learning new vocabulary.
