My students are all types of learners. I work along side hands-on kids, English Language learners, artistic creators, mathematical reasoners, and language oriented thinkers. I teach them with the goal of inspiring many of them to be the first in their families to graduate from college. They may face challenges but together we persevere until they each reach achievement. More than three-quarters of my students come from low-income households and forty-two percent of my students are English Language Learners. Some get support from our Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists. Others work with our Behavioral and Family Therapists. Some get support from our Special Education department. Others are at or above grade level and need enrichment. We are a diverse group of learners.
