In the Dallas Schools, Earth science continues to be a challenge to students who are in many grade levels especially in the fifth grade. My students continue to improve in their understanding yet the lack of resources limits the hands on learning needed for a deeper understanding of concepts. The materials may seem simple however, the power in the use of the materials will add value to fifth graders in a very low socio-economic area.

About my class
