Our school is located in an urban fringe of Southern California. It is a Title 1 school where most of our students receive free lunch and live in an area with low socio-economics. Most of my students are English Language Learners. In my classroom, I have highly motivated students with strong parent support. My students have now been in a dual language program since preschool. Our dual language program is the only one in the area. The program aims at producing bi-literate students who are fully proficient in both Spanish and English.
