I have found amazing, hands-on specialized instruction lessons for every subject on Teachers Pay Teachers. My special education students present with executive functioning weaknesses, especially in working memory, organization, and retention. I plan on using materials in Georgia Studies that also embed Language Arts skills. I also like to showcase student work by having a 'Gallery Walk' in which students walk around the room to look at their peers' work while giving a 'glow' (something enjoyed) and a 'grow' (something to improve upon). Only multi-sensory lessons will be purchased, increasing the opportunity for students to understand, retain, and synthesize information presented.
