We all need to understand that the journey we travel in life is full of choices, challenges and tests; as well as support, love, and happiness. The classes I am teaching this year are full of juniors in a mid-size inner-city school (1,000) where a high number of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch, along with many other social services. We are also the most diverse school in the state, with students coming from so many different places that 24 different languages can be heard in homes throughout the city. Because of budget crisis students are denied some opportunities to learn because we lack supplies, books, etc. I feel that the community of learners here would benefit from a donor.
