My students are all English Language Learners who have come to our school from places all of the world. They attend a Title 1 school in Washington DC. They are driven students that strive to become the best they can be. They have seen so many limitations already and they still show up every day and work hard to succeed. The biggest limitation that almost every student in our school sees is language. Many of our students are learning English as a second language and their only access to the language is in school. They need as much expose to the language as possible. My hope is that by building a listening center students can get the exposure to the language they need.
