I teach in an inner city public school that serves a diverse population of students. 72% of the students come from low-income families and 20% are English Learners. The students in my class have a wide range of reading levels. I want to provide quality reading materials to my students at ALL levels so that they can use the comprehension strategies that I have modeled to help them maintain understanding at their own reading level while reading independently.
