I have a healthy mix of students, from all sorts of backgrounds to all sorts of abilities. One thing most of them have in common is that they come from households that fall into below the poverty line. We also have a large population of gifted, special ed., visual / audio impaired, and emotionally disturbed students. We have some incredible teachers that can adapt to any student's need. Our administration is supportive and does whatever it takes to help the staff and students. Because of this our school is Title 1 and we have used the funds to equip the classrooms with Smart-boards, computers, and laptop carts. We are also fortunate to have enough tech savvy teachers that can keep these technologies running. We even train the students to do the simple tasks. All in all, our school is rich in diversity and technology. We push the students to become better than they are and to take pride in their accomplishments.
