Students will be able to create and publish their very own books. Once their books are written and printed, the class will then share their books to other fifth grade classes and read their finished product to early childhood classrooms. This will not only create a reading culture in the classroom, but a whole school community of readers will emerge. Parents will be able to share in this journey with their children and create everlasting memories. This will also improve family engagement as well. Students will have the chance to become editors and publishers. A very strong school - home connection will be fostered throughout my classroom and into the school community as a whole.
