My students are very multi-cultural with over half of my class speaking English as a second language. Many of their families have come to America with very little and are working hard to make ends meet. It is very important for these students to have a place they can call their own so we are trying to make our new classroom as welcoming as possible. Even those students who have very little are very grateful for all of the simple things that they do have. My second language students have been working extremely hard to learn the English language and have eagerly embraced the American culture with open arms. Please help my students see the opportunities that are now open to them here in America.
