I teach sixth grade in the North Bronx. The school where I teach is in a "high-need" community. Most of the children at our school qualify for free lunch (which means, they live at or below the poverty level). Unfortunately, the cycle of poverty will continue if these students don't receive the education they deserve. And they will not receive the education they deserve without necessary materials.
