Who are my students? My students are brimming with potential. Since the students are enrolled in a DLP, English learners and English proficient students are mixed in the same classroom and receive instruction in English and Spanish. As third graders, they are now reading to learn and have just begun to understand the magic of books. They attend an urban, Title I school in Southern California. The students come predominately from working class households. What the students lack economically, they make up for in spirit and determination.
