My 2nd grade students, known as the Weckies at our school in Michigan, represent a diverse group of learners. Our school and district have faced several financial cuts over the past few years and as a result, technology across the district as taken a MAJOR hit. While we want to prepare our students to thrive in a society where nearly everything may happen on mobile devices, we have lost the desktops in our classrooms and can only spend a limited time block a week in our school computer lab. 30 Computer Lab computers for 500+ kids can be a large problem.
