I am a third grade teacher and all of my students are english language learners. This year, most of my students are performing far below basic. Their reading levels range from kinder level to second grade level. Therefore, Instruction has to be differentiated to meet their individual needs. I need leveled readers to help them succeed. Most students in my classroom have limited access to books and the books that I currently have are too hard for my students. It worries me that 18 out of my 24 students are reading far below grade level. If I don't help them succeed, I am afraid they won't be able to successful in the future.
