I have twenty bright, eager, students who are English learners. They attend a school in the "unsafe " side of town; for them, shootings and school lock downs are a normal thing. For these students, school is a safe heaven and regardless of their low social economic level, they are eager to learn and always give their best effort. They know that education can be the key to a better future.
