My third grade students are from an inner city school in which more than 90% of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Most parents in our community work hard, holding down one or two jobs to provide for their families. Because of this, many parents are unable to attend our recitals and plays. My students are hard working and practice many hours for these performances and plays. They could reap the fruit of their labor and share these performances with their families if we had a video camcorder. We have only one, very heavy, outdated camcorder for our entire school to use right now.
