I am opening up a TK classroom and need materials and activities that are appropriate for my 4-year-old students. Dramatic play toys, manipulatives, blocks, games, social-emotional, and fine motor activities, help to build a strong foundation of essential skills. Students will use these materials in one-on-one and small groups, which will allow them to work and grow together, share, and build independence. Play opportunities in TK encourage discovery, curiosity, and imagination. These skills are highly valued in early childhood education and lay the groundwork for future academic success. My goal is to incorporate social learning to ensure students are prepared for the classroom environment, particularly when it comes to collaborating with peers.
