My students come from a neighborhood that is gang infested and where many live just above the poverty line. Most of my students do not have access to technology tools that will help them academically. The only time that they have access to technology devices is when they attend school. They are not fortunate enough to have many of these great "techno" gadgets that other children have in their very own home. I want to give my students a fighting chance to keep up in the technology race. I want my students to feel empowered when we are able to acquire a device that will help them stay competitive with other students from other schools.
