Riding a bike will help a child work on gross motor skills by gaining strength in his/her body which is important for a healthy lifestyle. These skills help a child's ability to do complex skills in future activities, such as learning the fundamental skills to riding a bicycle. Using bouncing balls allows children to develop locomotor skills that allow students to move from one place to another with agility. Bouncing helps develop many other gross motor skills such as kicking, walking, jumping and climbing stairs to later help develop some hand eye coordination such as throwing or catching a ball.
