My enthusiastic students are always asking about how things work, yet questions such as "How does our body use the food we eat?" may be better answered using tangible models. My third graders attend a Title 1 school where most of the student population qualifies for free or reduced meals. There are also students with special needs in my classroom who require hands-on-learning to process the material that is taught.
