Our school is a Title 1 school, with one hundred percent of our students receiving free and reduced price lunch. We are located on a Native American Indian Reservation. Many of the families in our school are migrant families who work in agriculture. Our community takes pride in our diversity, representing the Hispanic, Native American, Filipino, and European cultures. We've honored these cultures for the past 34 years with our Annual Cultural Unity Fair where we come together to celebrate the delicious foods and amazing dances of each culture. In addition to teaching, I also coach soccer at the middle school and high school. This allows me to work with the students outside of the school day and I've come to realize there is nothing they want more than to feel like they are part of something! (A class, a team, a family)
