My students attend a public school in the state of California and they come from predominantly low income families. 100% of my students received free lunch. My students are enthusiastic about learning and always try to apply their learning to their real lives. Unfortunately, most of my students live in high poverty. Their parents work very hard to provide the best education for their children. However, they can not afford to have any technology at home. Many of my parents do not even have a computer at home. When they constantly have to make ends meet, supporting education at home takes a back seat. Food and shelter is their priority and even then our staff and administrators reach out to community associations to help the students' home living conditions. As students come to our schools, teachers and staff make sure that they are provided with was essential. Our students get to be kids again and are able to focus on their learning without any worries.
