From the beginning of the year until now, I have seen tremendous growth from my students. They attend an inner city charter school where the majority are impoverished. Many cannot provide the basic school supplies needed at the beginning of the year. Writing is the new initiative in the school, and for many students, has become their favorite part of the day. It is truly inspiring to see how the students have transformed their mindset from despising writing, to seeing it as a way to express themselves, and are eager to do more than what is asked.
