These are the sweetest kids you would ever want to meet, but poverty limits everything in their school lives. If I even discuss experiences such as going to the beach or playing in the snow, some of my students have no experience relating to what I am talking about. I have to get them to think about what they have seen on TV, and if I'm lucky a few of them have watched the Discovery Channel.

About my class
