Hi! My name is Miss A! My kids are from a large inner-city classroom in Ct. All of the kids from my district qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Often, we are the only place they get fed everyday. I have been a teacher here for over fourteen years. I have seen the city bicker over budget cuts and we are suffering from not having adequate classroom libraries. They have been begging me to buy more Junie B. Jones books. I have been buying one every two weeks from Borders but it is hard for me since I can't buy them all. They also love to learn about current events but our district cannot afford Weekly Readers. In order to boost our children's reading comprehension skills, it is imperative for our students read as much non-fiction as they can. This would be a dream come true for my class!:)
