In order to compete with peers in the suburban schools and be successful in the upper grades, my students need to more resources- technology and science, math and social studies materials. I teach 4th grade in an urban district with 96% of students receiving free lunch. For most of my students English is a 2nd language. My students deserve to have access to what students in other districts take for granted.
