The students I work with are in my classroom for part of the day because they are receiving special education services. Most of the students struggle with reading and math. At lunch the students enjoy playing soccer and basketball. They also like the opportunity to come to the classroom at lunch to use the computer. Most of the students do not have a computer or access to the Internet at home. The students enjoy listening to a book on the computer and reading a book which is recorded on the computer. The students are your 'typical' kids except that they have more academic struggles than their peers. The older students realize they are not reading at the same level as their peers. The students attend a school that has more than 50% of the students receiving free or reduced lunch.
