My students will be able to read these books all over New York City; wherever they go, these books can go too. They will be able to annotate their reactions and questions. They will be able to bond with the physical object provided by this project, and that means they will more easily bond with the characters, the perspectives, and the other worlds that these texts open up for them. If they own the book, they can own their reading experience. Our school has so many students that we need to share books in shifts, but this project will allow my students to experience these texts without a deadline.
