I'm sure most of us remember engaging learning activities that made kindergarten one of the most memorable and enjoyable years of our schooling. Due to this, my co-teacher and I are trying to give our own kindergarteners, who all live in a high poverty area, the same experience. In order to support their varying learning needs, it is essential to create active learning experiences that are hands on. Due to the majority of our students being English Language Learners, this type of interactive learning is imperative to their success.
