These are books that will help my readers access text on their level. They need texts that they can read independently. These texts are leveled and they contain short words. This is critical when trying to teach children to read. It's impossible to teach children to read when they don't have engaging text they can access. My children are middle school and high school life skills students that need to have the ability to read at least some text without support. We will use these daily in our self-selected reading as well as our small group reading activities.
