My 23 first-graders are incredibly diverse. They are all unique and range in abilities in academics, social skills and behavior. My students this year are so connected to their learning they can't help but share their thoughts and ideas with everyone around. They love to show their learning kinesthetically and their bodies are constantly in motion. Despite our differences, our class shares a love for learning. We get excited about fancy words, animals, famous scientists and learning about our world. We practice giving back to our community and helping others. We are readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists and engineers that solve problems and continually strive for improvement. We believe that we can achieve great things to make a difference.
