My project is for 10 soprano ukuleles to help start a ukulele music program at my school. Ukuleles can be a solo instrument as well as a part of an ensemble. By using the ukuleles in the classroom, students will learn to read chords, play songs, and create music with very little experience. Starting a music program that is kid-friendly is a benefit when using the soprano ukuleles. Students will improve their reading fluency by reading and singing song lyrics. They will also develop their fine motor skills while learning to play the ukulele. Students will feel a sense of accomplishment when they are see how much they can learn to play on the ukulele.
