My students are creating a mobile food business to manage and operate. This will give my students real-world experience in business management and a chance to learn the professional skills needed to own and operate their own business. As a marketing and communication effort, we need to install a sound system in the used school bus conversion. We also need a double touch screen radio for student safety and the installation of a backup camera. This student-led business will serve the community by giving back 50% of all profits earned to local schools. Students will develop 21st-century skills like collaboration, resiliency, customer service, and problem-solving skills through operating a school business. Getting this food truck business up and operating is a cross-curricular project involving business, engineering, architecture, computer programming, construction, and digital media students.
